It's over, finally. Comic-Con 2010 has come to an end, and it did not disappoint. From Avengers assembling to faces being stabbed, this was easily the biggest and most spectacle-filled con in recent memory. The many booths, exclusive toys, panels, announcements, and marketing stunts did not disappoint. Neither did the cosplay.
Recently, however, the conservative website The Daily Caller, run by Tucker Carlson, got hold of many Journolist e-mails and printed the most provocative, which to some gave every appearance of a left-wing conspiracy to slant news coverage in favor of Barack Obama. The very belated legacy media reports on the Black Panther intimidation story have overlooked one critical aspect. Concentration on the antics of the two Black Panthers at the polling station -- whom careful examination shows to be officers of the New Black Panther army's specialized "Midnight Slob" unit -- has led to a failure to address the Justice Department's response. Namely, the contention by former DoJ attorney J. Christian Adams that he was ordered "not to bring any other cases against b...

Every year, government agencies put forth ideas on how their particular department can save money. This year, the Obama administration is proposing 126 cost saving measures totaling $23 billion for the 2011 federal budget. Some of these measures are big-ticket items involving the reduction or deletion of specific programs that can save hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars on their own.
IN this episode, we return to the world of finance and look at a bank fee that’s kind of like a chronic disease. Q. I wrote my landlord a check for rent this May. Days passed, and then a week and then two, and I saw that he had not cashed it. I called him and he told me in a disgruntled tone that he had not received the check and that I needed to mail another to him immediately, which I did.
Barack Obama is taking his teleprompter on the road again, this time with Detroit as the first stop on a magical mystery tour to prove that he is, too, still the messiah. He's trying to persuade everybody that he really isn't who he really is.
It seems every election finds political pundits trying to come up with a shorthand description for the latest bloc of voters to exercise undue influence in the current year's races. In 2000, "soccer moms" were the group du jour, and enough of them were disgusted with the Clinton scandals that they cost Al Gore the White House. In 2004, it was "security moms," who in a post-9/11 world were concerned about terrorism and the safety of their children. In 2008, a video featuring "Obama Girl" captu...
President Obama was apparently moved enough by a letter from a Philadelphia fifth-grader about bullying that he wrote back and encouraged his correspondent to continue her quest to end bullying. Oh, how rich the irony
NEW YORK, July 26 (Reuters) - North Dakota and Alaska have added the most jobs, while Nevada, California and Florida have lost the most, in the last five years, according to research released on Monday.
For years, maybe centuries, the red apple has stood as the emblem of everything from goodness to sin. The red apple is a stand in for desire as well as the nickname for New York City (OK, it is the "Big Apple" but everyone knows it is a decidedly red apple and no Granny Smith). Now comes news from the UK (by way of Switzerland) that apple breeder Markus Kobelt has lovingly developed a red-skinned and red-fleshed apple called the Redlove Era.
A 47-year-old French woman confessed to suffocating eight newborn children and hiding their bodies, a prosecutor said on Thursday, in what experts declared as the country's worst recorded case of infanticide.
Could the end of the cupcake trend be around the corner? Jacob Goldstein at NPR posed that question in response to a Wall Street Journal story that linked the popularity of cupcakes to growth in the New York City job market. Goldstein asserted that we are in a cupcake bubble: "'Did they really think cupcakes were different than cake?' the world will ask after the cupcake market implodes. 'Why did they wait in those ridiculous lines just to buy cake?'"

This cube may look like hell's version of Jenga, but it's actually an elaborate, 125-piece puzzle. The solution? A single-shot 45-caliber muzzle-loading pistol called the Intimidator. No, seriously. See for yourself.

You send your kids to Public School everyday trusting that those who influence them for more hours a day than you do, are honest, trust worthy and are only interested in teaching the ABC’s and 123′s.
